1. Are coconut oil and saturated fats good for the heart and body?
Coconut Oil is high in saturated fats (specifically medium-chain) but not all types of saturated fats cause cardiovascular disease like what different studies claim. In fact, saturated fat is the preferred source of energy for the heart. The heart uses this reserve of fat in times of stress.
Unhealthy saturated fats are the long-chain fatty acids (C16, C18, C20) which are found in animal fats, butter, lard, etc. These have the potential to cause cardiovascular diseases.
Coconut Oil is rich in medium-chain fatty acids (C8, C10, C12) with approximately 50% composed of C12 or lauric acid. Lauric acid is a potent antibacterial, antiviral, and general antimicrobial agent and has been studied extensively in various scientific studies. It can also be found in human breast milk, further proving its safety and benefits.
2. What is an organic product? Is it non-GMO?
An organic product’s ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), or ionizing radiation. It is produced without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial agents. Buying an organic certified product gives the consumers a guarantee that the product being purchased is pure and free of additives.
GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organism, and refers to plants, animals or other organisms whose genetic material has been changed in ways that do not occur naturally. Being certified organic means the product is non-GMO as it is part of the organic inspection standards.
3. What is MCT and MCT Oil?
MCT is Medium Chain Triglycerides. It contains medium-length chains of fats called triglycerides. Due to their shorter length, MCTs are easily digested and many health benefits are linked to the way our body processes these fats.
MCT Oil is most commonly extracted from Coconut Oil rather than other oils, as more than 50% of the fat in coconut oil comes from MCTs.
4. What are the types of MCTs?
C12 (Lauric Acid)– a typical fatty acid which goes through the stomach, breaks down in the small intestines, then absorbed in the blood to turn into energy. It is immediately converted into energy. It raises good cholesterol ratio more than any other fatty acids. It is commonly cited as having antimicrobial benefits but the shorter MCTs are more effective against aggressive candida yeast and even gonorrhea and chlamydia (as a monoglyceride).
C6 (Caproic Acid)– tastes bad and it often results in stomach/gastric upset, but it converts quickly into ketones.
C8 (Caprylic Acid)– has potent antimicrobial/antibacterial properties to help maintain a healthy gut, and it is the fastest to metabolize in the brain. C8 is the shortest of the MCTs, which makes it the easiest for the body to break down into fuel. It almost instantly turns into ketones. It offers mental clarity and stable energy.
C10 (Capric Acid)– is the 2nd shortest form of MCT, and also rare. It is slower to turn into energy. C10 is a powerful antifungal that can kill yeast and fungi (including Candida). It also boosts immunity to fight off infections and viruses.
5. What are the advantages of the MCTs?
C6, C8 and C10 are known for providing quick energy and a sharper brain. They’re absorbed more quickly than other fats and easily converted into energy.
Only C6, C8 and C10 bypass the digestive tract and go straight to the liver where they’re broken down into energy-packed ketones.
The quick conversion of fat to ketones for energy is what most people look for when they buy MCTs.
Ketones are natural chemicals made by our body, specifically in the liver. They are produced where there is not enough insulin in the body to turn sugar (or glucose) into energy. Ketones are little bundles of energy that are a powerful alternative to the body’s typical fuel source, glucose.
6. Can MCTs treat Alzheimer's?
According to some studies done, symptoms in mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease were successfully reversed. The amount of MCTs in coconut oil is great enough to produce therapeutic blood ketones. Two (2) tablespoons of coconut oil can produce enough ketones to have significant effect on brain function and can be used for treatment of Alzheimer’s.
7. Are the health benefits of Coconut Oil simply based on hearsay?
Absolutely not! Virgin Coconut Oil has been extensively researched scientifically for a few decades now, and has been shown time and time again to be effective in its claims.

8. Do you own your own coconut plantation?
Absolutely NOT. All the fresh, organic coconuts we use for the production of orders come directly from the local farmers. This means that all orders placed through us directly support the livelihood of our hardworking farmers. Additionally, this is why we are unable to provide long-term guarantees on prices, as the farmers are the ones who give the prices on each and every order.
This is also why we do not see a need to spend on additional certificates (i.e. Fairtrade) when we can directly use the funds to benefit the farmers.
9. How are you able to maintain your quality for over 50 years?
For over 50 years, we have placed the highest priority on the quality of our products. While some companies may resort to cost-cutting measures, we remain committed to using the same high-quality materials and ingredients to ensure superior customer satisfaction.
All our products are produced fresh. Every coconut delivered to our facility is processed within 1–2 days, ensuring optimal freshness and purity. We do not store finished goods; therefore, all bulk orders are essentially made-to-order.
10. What is the difference between coconut milk and coconut milk powder?
Coconut milk powder comes from spray-dried coconut milk. The advantage of coconut milk powder is that it is shelf-stable and it is customizable.
It is shelf-stable because unlike coconut milk which you have to fully consume after opening the package, coconut milk powder will not easily spoil when stored correctly even after opening the package.
It is customizable because you can dictate the creaminess or thickness of the mixture. Add more water and it becomes a more liquid coconut milk, add less water and it becomes a flavorful, more viscous coconut cream. Unlike coconut milk which is only liquid and is very diluted, hence lacking flavor.
